When a project entails making a shopfront beautiful again, it really is a job for Associated Steel Window Services (ASWS); after all, thousands of people per day are walking past it and the team are the experts! In a prestigious shopping street in Central London, a building has been restored to its previous glory with ASWS replacing two large windows and replicating a stone mullion in aluminium; as well as restoring the ground floor shopfront and awning.
Kris Bennell, ASWS’s Operations Director, explains, “We were chosen due to experience, skill and knowledge in the restoration market. The timber refurbishment of the shopfront and the servicing of the awning were a real fun part of this project and something the team really dived into with enthusiasm and skill. The client team were incredibly happy and pleased to see it restored to its former glory. A real challenge was trying to get a 200mm RHS mullion to replicate the stone façade, which involved a series of Polyester Powder Coating samples in both colour finish, eventually settling on the perfect match which was Interpon D2525 Stone Effect. A thoroughly enjoyable project which we know will be admired for years to come.”
