PROJECTS

New Bracken House

ASWS was initially appointed, by McLaren, to provide a full condition survey of the building. Throughout the next year ASWS were the principal window contractor, refurbishing the 240 windows and replacing nearly 1500 pieces of Ironmongery on this Grade II Listed building. 

Conduit Street Private Members Club

ASWS, once again working with ISg, was appointed to design and manufacture eight new semi-headed double doors  and complete the refurbishment of the aluminium curtain walling system, including the replacement of some doors and screens. 

BBC Bush House

ASWS completes the transformation of the former BBC world service buildings to form the new Aldwych Quarter redevelopment.

The Bush House refurbishment has transformed the 90 year old property while maintaining its architectural integrity, especially in respect of its external elevations with their distinctive steel fenestration pattern. 

Hackney Town Hall

2017 saw the culmination of a near seven year project at Hackney Town Hall for ASWS. After consultation with Hackney Council and English Heritage an extensive refurbishment strategy was formulated. Working closely with the architect, Hawkins/Brown, and the main contractor, Osborne Ltd, we were able to provide a full refurbishment of the Grade II Listed neo-classical building.

County Hall Phase II & III

Having worked at County Hall over 20 years ago we were pleased to be once again invited back to work on such an iconic London building, with the KPS Partnership.

Alexandra House

Alexandra House is a grade-II listed building which has recently been converted to accommodate the expansion of St Paul’s Church of England primary school in Brentford, West London. A major part of the work to the Art Deco style building was the full refurbishment of over 70 steel windows and the manufacture of ten new windows.

Royal Academy of Arts

We are delighted to announce we once again worked with Sisk and Sons at The Royal Academy of Arts, London. This project involved the complete replication and manufacture of the original heritage windows.

Quadrant Arcade

ASWS is pleased to announce that they have completed the contract to undertake the full refurbishment of the 60 steel insert windows, including the decoration. We also replaced six heritage windows as well as completing specialist glazing of several very large curved laminated glass panels. 

ASOS Phase B

ASWS was very pleased to once again be invited back to ASOS by ISg plc, this time to complete Phase B, which is the new ASOS Headquarters for Customer Care. 

Selfridges

In 2016 we were appointed by a Joint Venture of Sir Robert McAlpine/Blue Sky Buildings to refurbish and reglaze the heritage façade to the rear of Selfridges and Co (Oxford Street).

Harrods

ASWS was appointed to design, draw and manufacture a number of windows for the Harrods building in Knightsbridge in 2017.

21 Glasshouse Street

ASWS was appointed by Sisk for the on site refurbishment works to the steel windows at 21 Glasshouse Street. This included the reglazing and full decoration of the 176 windows. We also refurbished and replaced, in places, the Copper Light Glazing system.

1 Cabot Square

ASWS has spent the last four years as the main enabling contractor for ISg at Credit Suisse, removing, storing and refixing windows throughout the project, providing access for hoists, plant removal and access and egress from the building. 

Bush House NWW

In 2016 ASWS returned to another London landmark, beginning work again at Bush House, this time the North West Wing. This project for ISg Plc, over nearly nine months, saw the full refurbishment of over 775 opening vents, including the removal of nearly 3000 pieces of film and a full overhaul of the original ironmongery.  

Roseberry Avenue

ASWS was delighted to be working on these 120 year old cast iron windows on Roseberry Avenue. 

Heals

ASWS worked very closely with the principal contractor, Square Meter, on the refurbishment and replacement of the windows at the Heals building, in Tottenham Court Road. We replaced timber, aluminium and steel windows on this project, as well as servicing and overhauling, including redecoration, of the existing steel windows. 

ASOS Phase A

ASWS was appointed by ISg plc to complete the window refurbishment to the new ASOS headquarters in Watford during 2017. After completing an initial survey of the windows and curtain walling we were appointed to complete the necessary works.
